Crispy, thick-cut golden fries in a greasy papper wrapper

With my first bite, I'll admit I was skeptical. They're a different style than my usual faves, more crispy, like the breading on fish-and-chips. The inside of each fry is soft and very potato-y, like eating a spoonful of mashed potatoes. The cut is on the thicker end, while I usually prefer a thin fry. But I tried dipping these in tzatziki, and I was instantly won over. The deep-fried crunch paired perfectly with the refreshing flavor of yogurt and herbs, and the softness of the inside made for a nice variety in texture. I give these 4.5 fries out of 5.
